Prime minister Narendra Modi from the very first day he came into ministry, he urged to promote about his two big dream project Digital India & Make in India. The first step towards making India actually digital, Narendra Modi launched the online forum for the convenience of the citizen i.e. MyGov.in. During July month of 2015, he launched his own app to connect with 133 crores Indians directly.

The “Digital India” Campaign was a strong step taken by our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi for establishing a participative, transparent and responsive government. To make “Digital India” empowered many top industrial tycoons like RIL Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani, Tata Groups Chairman Cyrus Mistry, Wipro Chairman Azim Premji and many more others are joining hands with the government and sharing their ideas.

The Digital India campaign consists of several programs, which are initiated with an objective of preparing India to become empowered economically and socially. Through synchronized and co-ordinate engagement of the government, it aims to bring to each citizen a good governance.


The vision behind Digital India

The vision behind the Digital India program is to bring growth in electronic services, products, manufacturing, and job opportunity sector, the three major covering are: -

·         Governance & Service on Demand and Digital Empowerment of citizen
·         Digital Infrastructure as a utility to every citizen

The major project of Digital India Programme

1.       My Gov.in – an online platform for each and every citizen, through which they can show their engagement towards the government affairs by a “discuss”, “do” and “disseminate” approach.
2.       E-sign Framework: this platform will help the citizen to digitally sign a document online using Aadhaar authentication.
3.       The Online Registration System (ORS): - this platform will help the citizen to take advantage of important services like online registration, payment, of fees and appointment online diagnostics reports, enquiring availability of blood online and much more, under the eHospital application.
4.       Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM): the government has introduced a mobile app, which enables the citizen to participate in Swachh Bharat Mission initiated by P.M.
5.       Digital locker: - the platform has minimized the usage of paper documentation and introduced the facility of a Virtual document across agencies.

with the execution of the Digital India campaign, the customer acquisition of the online marketer has made a boom because a greater number of people are engaged in the internet. After the implementation of Digital Marketing campaign, people are turning toward the internet. So, it has been assumed that in 2020, Social Media on Email programs will leave the considerable impact on the customer. The online marketer is expecting the rise in the number of subscribers by 51% of marketers, a 500% increase by 2025, that’s really a huge number!!

The great initiative to make the citizens digitally empowered has left many positive impacts in various sector, which is phenomenal. It has been estimated, that by 2020, starting from broadband connectivity in all panchayat, Wi-Fi in schools and universities and public Wi-fi hotspots. In the coming days, this initiative will open the new doors of opportunities in IT, Telecom and Electronics both directly and indirectly. This will help to eradicate the unemployment and underemployment too.

“Digital India” campaign is the phenomenal move by the government of India. It is expected in the coming years it will generate new 18 lakh, new customers. India is on a journey to new technical India. We hope that this showstopper program wins the heart of 133crores Indian.
